H.B 60 Conceal Carry Firearms Amendment was signed 2.12.2021

 

 

What does this mean to you?

On 5 May 2021, You will no longer be required to have a Concealed Carry Permit to Carry a Loaded Concealed firearm in the state of Utah. 

We are delighted to receive this annual

 

 

Things to Note:

​

  • It is ILLEGAL to carry a firearm on ANY public or private school premises, including charter schools and religious schools (kindergarten through 12th-grade schools) AND public or private institution of higher education (colleges and universities) unless you have a valid Utah concealed firearm permit. 

  • It is ILLEGAL to have a firearm, other than a handgun, loaded inside a vehicle unless you have a valid Utah concealed firearm permit.

  • It is ILLEGAL to carry ANY firearm in any State prohibited areas or Federal prohibited areas.

  • It is ILLEGAL to carry ANY firearm in any other state, subject to the laws of that state unless you have a valid Utah concealed firearm permit. 

  • A valid Utah concealed firearm permit is still required to exempt you from paying the $7.50 background check fee when purchasing a firearm from a Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer in Utah.
